A Reading Featuring Birdhouse Chapbook 2020 awardees Ashley Somwaru and Julia Tolo

Keynote A reading by Alicia Ostriker a reading and a presentation of her hybrid-chapbook.

Poet, critic, and activist Alicia Ostriker is the author of over a dozen collections and is a much loved N.Y. State Poet Laureate. Her chapbook, Ideas of Order & Disorder, a collection of poetry and photographs, was published expressly for the Festival: “Here, Ostriker disorders accepted ideas and offers a truth that is uncomfortable, challenging, and necessary in this moment. Her words at times expose wounds and injustice, but also offer the healing power of art and love.”
